Program Details
The Village of Haverstraw Summer Camp Program is a six-week summer program, beginning in early July and ending in mid-August. Applications are available at the Village Hall or on the village website. The camp day begins at 8:15 AM and ends at 3:00 PM. An “after camp” program from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM is available for an additional cost. The camp is open to youth ages six through fourteen and is open to the first 175 children who apply. The Village of Haverstraw youth are given preference- youth outside the Village may attend camp for an additional fee. Activities include breakfast and lunch, swimming, arts and crafts, field trips, movies, sports, and other positive alternatives for youth.
The Summer Youth Program is a camp program for teens entering 9th – 12th grade. This is a positive alternative program for youth who either have summer school or cannot find employment. The program runs Monday – Friday from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. We offer recreational, educational as well as volunteer opportunities. A typical week consists of volunteering, an educational workshop every Wednesday, and weekly trips to bowling and movies.
