On Friday, November 1st at 4:00pm, the Village of Haverstraw will be holding a ribbon cutting for its new ADA accessible playground at Emeline Park. This playground, 2+ years in the planning and making, replaces 20+ year old equipment that was not ADA compliant.

Funding for this playground comes jointly from the Rockland County Community Development Consortium and a Member Item grant from Assemblyman, Ken Zebrowski.  In attendance at the ceremony will be Assemblyman Zebrowski, County Executive Ed Day, Community Development Director Maria Frank, Village of Haverstraw Mayor Michael Kohut, and the Haverstraw Village Board.

This nautically-themed playground has been quickly accepted and enjoyed by the Village children and makes quite an artistic statement in the middle of Emeline Park.
